- Take no second of your life for granted. Things change, tragedies happen, you can become nothing but a memory very quickly and very suddenly. Life is too short to spend scared.
- Got disposable income and looking for places to invest it? Invest in yourself. Spend it on experiences, not things. $500 buys you a great new TV. $500 also buys you a road trip to somewhere you've never been.
- Exercise. Eat right. You'll feel better, you'll be better, and it may save your life.
- Spending hours a day staring at walls of text and images and videos on a screen won't do shit to make you a better person. What will is getting away from the computer, interacting with others, and experiencing life as it exists offline.
- Go to college if at all possible. If you don't do it for the education, do it for the social experience and contacts you will walk away with. It's worth it, with or without a degree. This is coming from someone who was busy building businesses in college, but still found time to go on adventures. I wasn't in a frat, I didn't party, I wasn't even really part of any clubs. But I still made contacts with fellow students and professors that have benefited me greatly.
- Laugh for fifteen minutes a day. Sweat for fifteen minutes a day. Reflect for fifteen minutes a day. Leave your comfort zone for fifteen minutes a day.
- Be positive whenever possible. Optimism works, too. Surround yourself with those sharing the same ideals. You are the culmination of the five people you spend the most time around.
- Be spontaneous. Check out a nude beach. Take some cash and disappear into the night. See how far you get and what you can do with it. Buy a round of drinks for a whole bar. Go pool hopping. Make someone's day.
- Stop fucking arguing. Whether your opinion is correct or not, if the opposition cares enough about their beliefs to continue the argument, you won't change their mind. Don't waste your time. Life's too short, man.
- Think about what mark you want to leave on the world. What will be the monument to your success? I've already obtained my monumental lifetime achievement. Now I'm working on a second. What is yours going to be?
