I've had more than 1k uniques an hour on a VPS with Liquid Web and it was fine. No down time. I prefer Liquid Web over Hostgator because of their support. I use Hostgator for smaller sites. I think Liquid Web is a little more $ but it's probably irrelevant if you have 1k uniques an hour.

well, in that case for sure you must install a caching plugin even when you switch to a better hosting.. that will make your pages load faster and your visitors will be more happy..
I would recommend you get a decent VPS hosting at some company, for 1k per hour there's no need of dedicated server in your case..
can u plz suggest me some good and cheap decent VPS hosting , as u know i have only one website and i dont want to invest much high price servers
