Doubtful. In a year the domain will still be considered "new." You'd have to get a freaking ton of traffic and your site would need to be explosive.

LOL.. If only it was as easy as that....
I built 10 PR7 Links to one of my domains 3 months ago... Links were all targeted, however, I jumped from PR0 to PR2
Google's algorithms are v tricky to understand....
My advice: DO NOT focus on PR, it will come by itself once you devote your time to building good content and constant links...

If i were you i would forget about PR. And worry about getting good converting traffic that will make you money. You could have a site with a PR7 and have shit traffic. And the only to make money would be to sell that domain. It's all about the traffic
I have seen a new domain that was launched in August-September this year go to PR7 because it is owned by an authority site with a PR8 home page. It has just a few links from company sites - the rest are all PR7. This common ownership has helped it a lot.
For the OP to reach PR7 - it would be a long journey. Lots of quality links, lots of content. No short-term solutions.

Next update impossible! In a year very very hard. You will need some good related links from pr8 sites and above. Not easy at all. You could consider buying an aged site with as higha pr as you can find and blast the hell out of it. My 0.02cents

Well mate i would like to tell you that it becomes difficult to get higher pr as the level increases. It is easier to get to pr 2 from 1 than getting pr 8 from 7. So its not like that.

not true. i bought a domain september 13th and when google updated it's PR4 now... It all depends on how to monetize it bro
