I have been testing Telegrams Ads across multiple countries and noticed major differences in engagement,CPC and retention rates depending on the GEO. Some Regions generate cheap clicks but poor conversions while others cost more but bring better long-term users.

From what I've seen, cheaper traffic doesn't always translate into better user quality. Testing smaller campaigns across multiple GEOs and tracking retention over time is usually more reliable than focusing only on CPC.

Tier 1 GEOs like the US, UK, Canada, Germany And Australia usually brings the long term user quality on Telegram Ads, especially for business, finance and SaaS offers. The CPC is definitely higher, but retention and conversions rates are often much better. Some Cheaper GEOS can generate a lot of clicks quickly, but the engagement quality is inconsistent and users tend to drop off faster. In our tests,Quality always mattered more than low CPC when the goal was real business growth.

Don’t focus on clicks or joins. Instead, add a middle step that lets you collect actual user data... like a contact -share button or email unlock before access (depending on your business model). Then optimize and measure in your crm based on cost per sign up, not just clicks or joins.

For running Telegram Ads, GEO quality matters much more than cheap CPC. Countries like the US,UK, UAE, and Germany usually bring better engagement and stronger long term users, even if the traffic costs more.
Cheap GEOs can generate a lot of clicks, but conversions and retention are often inconsistent. In most campaigns, targeted niche channels with the right audience always performed better than broad low cost traffic.

Brazil, Turkey, and Ukraine are being viewed by many media buyers as "sweet spots" for Telegram traffic.

From my tests, Tier 1 GEOs cost more but the user quality and retention are noticeably better.
