There is a question.
How popular is Telegram in Europe/America right now? Does it make sense to invest money in it (development of channels and selling advertising there)
I know that in the CIS countries it is now at the peak of popularity, Telegram there is a top 1 messenger. But I don't know what the vast majority of people in Europe and America use. Facebook, instagram, whatsapp, viber?

From my personal experience, telegram is quite popular in Europe (more than whatsapp from what I have seen, but I might be wrong in this assumption).

If you want to do a worldwide advertisement you'd better use Instagram and Facebook than some messengers which are popular in particular countries only.

Don't think it's very popular worldwide as it was created for russians from the beginning.

It's quite popular, but Whatsapp and in particular Discord are more often used.

If you want something worldwide popular - check Facebook or WhatsApp.
Telegram has less popularity.

Nope, TG became popular for hosting crypto groups, channels and bots. Because it's more useful than Slack

They did private ICO at first quarter of 2018, so now tokens are sold. I'd look at them after start of the real product or at least listing at exchanges.

telegram is also used by a lot of politics in Argentina but whatsapp + instagram owns the market.

Aw, yes. There are really too many crypto groups in Telegram. And all of them have a lot of subscribers all over the world. How do they promote their channels in order to gain so many followers?

I've seen some news dedicated to it. And I'm sure they will make their own crypto as Telegram is very popular all over the world already.

For us in Europe I've found that Telegram isn't used that much really, it's mainly Whatsapp or facebook messenger over anything else.
Personally, I'd avoid dumping money into it and focus more on Instagram and Facebook for trying to make some income.
