Am I the only person who just assumes that someone is a scammer when they say "Here's My Telegram ID:"

In my experiences Telegram is ONLY 3rd world scams and P3dos

false. theres a whole world of people who do business on telegram

Pedos are everywhere, on Facebook groups, TikTok burn pages, Instagram DMs and any ''1st world'' social media
The same can be said about scammers, they are everywhere, including real life

Telegram has a whole setup that benefits privacy and it's also abused by scammers and bad actors, I've already hired some services on Telegram, but only with reliable vouches, references and real feedback, only from upgraded members, without that, it's too risky

I both agree and disagree.

* 90% of the people on Facebook are either in their 70s or the people who say 'Hello Dear' before they try to rob you.

* TikTok is stolen content, Philippinos trying to sell beatiality and a few cam model showing a flash of their twats. Very little CSAM and it's mostly from Latin America

* Instagram was booked marked by Epstein. DJT is still trolling the site in his spare time.

On the other hand Telegram is the 'Hello Dear's, the pedos and stolen content. It DWARFS the bullshit on the other social media platforms.

A smart Businessman should know that Telegram is a cluster fuck which surpasses all the others combined and avoids using it. Just like a smart buyer knows that there's just too many scumbags on the platform and therefore looks elsewhere to do business.

I'm sure there are honest people on TG, but I do tend to lean that way in my thoughts as well.
 
It is just easy to communicate over a messenger. Most people prefer TG.
 
if whatsApp rolled out a feature to message someone using just a username instead of a phone number, I’m sure no one would mind doing business there. The main reason most sellers choose Telegram is that it’s easy to use and doesn’t require sharing their num.
 
Since skype is down people are preferring more than ever. We need a solid alternave though which is flexible enough and good in use.
 
Telegram is the best thing ever, obviously you dont respond to random messages that you get, but besides that i have made some of the best business deals on telegram
 
We can't just blame the platforms. Scammers are everywhere.

Believe it or not, I got scammed even on PPH (PeoplePerHour) and that's an escrow platform. The deal was initiated on Skype, and I ended up losing my money despite the project being on PPH.

Just last month, I almost got scammed again, but luckily I checked the profile's feedback and found a warning left by another seller.

Scammers are getting smarter. They use technology to their advantage. Stay cautious and always do your due diligence.
 
I don't think this is the only medium to scam. since there are lots of people here thats why scamming is more visible here. Thats it. we just need to be more careful when handling. No one keep a gun in our head and charge money. We are fall for it. We need awareness here.

Here's what I don't fucking understand and maybe you can explain it to me.

I send someone a message on Telegram then I have to WAIT for a response. The wait is almost NEVER less than 5 minutes.

Most often the wait is hours.... Sometimes even a couple of days ! Only the scammers seem to respond quickly

In my world I call that EMAIL !

I often receive scamming message from fake telegram which told me that I violate sth =))) if we click the link, our telegram account will lose
 
I have said and will keep saying it, Telegram is a very useful tool, just use it circumspectly in combination with other verification channels, and you will be safe.
 
Scammers can be found on any service. In your case, you encountered an exclusively negative experience within the messenger.
Telegram is convenient, informative, and used by a large number of people.
Use a trusted chat service, check people's reputations before using any service or making any purchase, and don't pay the full amount up front. It doesn't matter where it happens.
 
I don't know of any real business using telegram.

Unfortunately the vast amount of scammers on telegram ruin it for the ones who aren't scammers.

Telegram here especially has a bad brand.

I personally wouldn't want to be associated with the reputation that telegram has here.

It's great for personal communication sure but for business communication?

Absolutely not.
