Well, if you're the admin, you can set the member info to private. I believe that way, only admins get to view the member information, ergo only admins will be able to scrape your members' information. Much easier to manage that way.

In a channel members' info private is enough.
The issue is a problem when you want to protect your users of a group. What you can do is let them know to disable the feature to be added automatically to groups, IMO that is the most you can do.

in new updates of TG you can do same for groups also. You can hide group members also.
