Telegram needs Identity verification before running ads

Why do I have to provide a government-issued ID to run the ads on Telegram? It is the first time I wanted to try it. I see the Verify option on Fragment.com. Any ideas or suggestions?

I did not try to run any political ads, financial services, or anything involving money or crypto etc, my ad was simply to join my Channel.

If you're hesitant to share your id, review their privacy policies and explore any alternative verification options they might offer.

It's a pain, but pretty common with platforms these days, just make sure your ID matches the account info.
