Hey, wondering if anyone's found a reliable telegram tool that allows for automating, proxies for different account logins in telegram and messaging with those accounts. And also to message dms or group messages. I only need support for 5-10 accounts. Anything that might work, preferably for desktop?

Teleraptor,telegram prime, TG-GIANT, TeleGrand, TeleSpace. There are hundreds of them, see which is more budget friendly or which suits you and buy/use it
 
I think it's a good idea to also integrate the option to send messages to my script, I'm going to try. Thank you for the idea.

They're all quite expensive, a 100 bucks a month for a messaging telegram bot seems mad

For managing 5–10 telegram accounts with automation and proxy support, you might want to check out MadelineProto or Telethon if you're comfortable with Python.
If you're looking for a more user-friendly desktop tool, some people use TData-based Telegram clients with anti-detect tools like AdsPower or GoLogin for isolated sessions + proxies.

For messaging (DMs/groups), be careful with limits to avoid bans.

Yeah bro, few good options. TeleAdPro is simple and perfect for 5–10 accounts with proxies. TeleBot is more advanced with full automation. FlashID helps with safer multi-account management. For your use, TeleAdPro is the easiest
 
If you only have 5-10 accounts, then I think using a fingerprint browser with some automated tools will be the most appropriate choice. The commercial software you need requires very high prices, and they are designed to serve 500-1,000 accounts.
