Anyone have experience with teeth whiteners or a whitening service that actually worked?

Perhaps it was something that you bought at Target that made your teeth dramatically whiter?

Maybe it was an actual clinic that you went to that used UV light or another method?

The bleachbrite and similar products work. You see them booths in the shopping malls, with the blue lights. It lasts like 6 moths or so and is around 99.00. Also the whitening mouth wash and toothpaste you can get at the store or the dollar store works somewhat.

I just use whitening toothpaste and mouthwash. If I go to long without brushing, I use some weird home remedies that do the trick.

    Few options here:

    - Make your own baking soda + hydrogen peroxide paste. Works pretty well for my teeth.

    - Head to a dentist and get the professional ZOOM whitening done. I've seen some people who've gotten that done, and the results were pretty amazing. Expensive though.

The only thing that works is H2O2 gel used with custom made braces. They are not cheap but can be used many times, at home, and it takes an hour or so for snow white results. Costs are mostly less than $1000.

The only requirement is that the teeth are completely repaired or you'll be screaming uncontrollably if the peroxide reaches a nerve twig :)

The usual 'whiter teeth in 14 days' stuff for $20 is crap and only makes the tooth surface thinner.

Can you link me to a legitimate supplier?

Could you explain what home remedies you use?

There was a wholesale thread on this a little while back. 44% teeth whitening gel. The guy said whiter teeth the first time you apply it... kind of sketchy stuff though. I would only use name brand.

Oh, I thought you were asking for yourself.
Well if you want to make money, and the clients 100% satisfied, it has to be done the other way around - finding dentists and selling them leads. I don't think that the gel itself even requires a prescription. The costly part are the braces, have to be specifically made for each person so the gel can be held in place reliably and also the gums protected. Seems they call them 'trays' now.

Strips are flimsy and the result is differently colored/bleached teeth at best. And no effect at all at worse, since strips or anything else can't offer high enough concentration - otherwise the unprotected gums would probably disolve in the process :)

Seems like wikipedia has finally managed to get rid of most of the nonsense about tooth bleaching so the article is a good info source imho.

I don't whiten, but I had success lightening my teeth with hydrogen peroxide, 3%. You actually don't need to dilute it if you use the 3% solution. Not everyday, just for a couple of days.

I do want it for myself. Not looking to sell it, at least right now. Was just asking for a legitimate place to buy it from.

Get them whitened by a dentist. Your teeth will be whiter and stay whiter for longer and wont damage your enamel as bad.
Then brush. And rinse your mouth with peroxide everyday. Don't use mouthwash. It does more harm then good! It kills bacteria, but it rots your enamel due to the chemicals and sugar put in the mouthwash. Use the Orignal flavored listerine if you NEED mouthwash. But the Peroxide is the best bet to kill bacteria, keep your teeth healthy and white...it is cheaper too!

If you get it done by a dentist, he will make your mouth trays and give them to you and sell you the gel solution cheap so you can peridically whiten your teeth. If your strapped for cash, go buy a sports mouthguard and fit it yourself with hot water, then look for a whitening solution online or ask your dentist to sell you some. The solution my dentist sold me was Sapphire Professional Home Whitening System made by DenMat.

How much whiter did it make your teeth?

Were you satisfied with the results?
