TEDA EGYPT - teda it is worst iternet provider I have dialed with

TEDATA EGYPT to bad to be true

Couple of weeks ago I moved to another place, I stay now in Egypt by the Red Sea in small city called Dahab, I am learning wind surfing and I like fishing, it is nice place to work on IM projects: quite, cheap and there is many things to enjoy and clear your mood after hard working day.

Internet in new flat was really bad, only 1 mb speed, so I went to telecom company, paid for new land line and sign the contract with TeData for 8 mb internet, tedata tal2a package, Tedata it is local biggest internet provider. I had to wait another 10 days for some reason, they do not explain just call it system, so after 10 days I opened my pc and find that my internet is working, but after I checked speed I find that I have 1mb speed, main reason for new line was to upgrade from 1 mb to faster internet.

I called tedata egypt office and explain situation, it seemed like mistake as they was sure that I subscribed for 1 mb internet, I told them that it is mistake and I can send copy of invoice and contact to them to check, I send them required peppers which clearly show that I subscribed and fully paid for 8mb tal2a tedata internet, it has stamp, date, signature etc, I double check if they received it and they promised to fix it in 24 hours.

Long story short - all support team probably know me by now, every time I hear same 24 hours shit, I mailed them million times, called main office, they just say that is mistake by our side and we will fix it as soon as possible. Tedata very rare replay by email, mostly never, talking to online chat does not effect it, main office 700 km away, so I do not have any mood to go there.

I just can not get how come I have official contract, invoice for 8 mb, and they provide me low cost package and seems that no one at tedata care about it, tedata egypt is worth company I dialed with.

Guys if someone here from Egypt, or may be have an idea how to kick them ass to move faster I will be appreciate your help a lot. In any other country I will probably open court case against tedata, but I will faster move from here, as it will take a long time.

I dont think its much you can do but keep bugging them.

Most internet providers outside of tier 1 countries seem to be of low quality from what I read online.

You might be better off finding a better internet provider if its others around in your area.

I would be happy to do so, but 1 I have to wait another 2 weeks to contract cancellation, second reason tedata egypt have online payments and good speed.

It is getting more interesting)) I have got phone call from tedata complain office today and I was like wow now my problem will be resolved and you know what it become bigger. So as they find out that it was mistake in contract with one digital, that's why I did not receive speed I paid for, but during process they decide to install for me 1mb internet, I never requested this speed as I already have another land line with 2 mb internet, I told them that I never sign contract for 1mb and in my hand contract for 8mb internet. So last answer was that if they will change my speed to 8mb I will pay for 1mb for 1 month (which I never ask to install) and + I will lost my 50% discount if I change plan.

I just do not know how to deal with them any more, I have sign official contract for 8mb internet, there is mistake in 1 digital tho, but I have got internet on my new line 1mb, which they install without my permission or any contract from my side.

Hello, it's my first time to post here and I am so happy to be a respond for you. I am totally agree with you about how much bad is the internet, but in whole Egypt not just TeData. Secondly you have to know that this package called "Tal2a" is depend on your telephone line quality so actually it isn't 8 Mb, it's up to 8 Mb. And while the lines itself is corrupted so it won't be able to carry more speed.

If you still here in Egypt, just one advise "Run Away" ahahha <3

Man i am from Egypt and all i can tell you is that this company sucks big time but it's considered the best quality sucker here in Egypt and their stupid ass's customer support and IT managers are very stupid to read your online Emails xD,, they are a bunch of wanna be IT admins and managers who don't know shit about what they are supposed to do!!! and as an advice to you please stay away from this "Tal2a" 8mb offer because it's limited and they will steal you in bandwidth! just go with the unlimited packages even though they are also shit but it's just better than this "Tal2a" offer which is considered a rip off!

Thanks for response, but actually when I start to spread complain around the net ans send them links and current positions for some of them, the answered me and solved all problems, now I am under 8mb package, which works quite well for me, I do not use a lot of bandwidth from my home pc, as all soft running on servers, you can add me in skype, if you would like to discuss any work or possible business with me. BTW this thread can be closed.

I am agree that there is a lot of stupid guys work for tedata, but on the end I was contacted with very smart person who fix all issues in 30 minutes.
