Techniques to gain traffic

I have an eCommerce store that is in serious need of SEO and some online marketing. I have hired currently an SEO company who had assured me that I would be able to meet the Christmas rush but this has not happened and we have wasted alot of money but a majority of the 2012 with no results.

What techniques am I able to use to begin generating traffic, I have looked through the thread and see techniques for IM marketing, will this apply for ecommorce and which techniques work best, can begin results within the next 1-2 months.

Immediate results can be achieved through ppc, you can use facebook ads. If it is a most needed product then create some youtube videos and rank it in google.
