i've created a website on wordpress most pages are very fast , however product pages are slow .
i'm not using woocomerce , only wordpress and some plugins as it's a pay on delivery website

i have wp rocket installed and activated

i want to improve speed of the product pages without touching the others .

my best bet would be perfmatters i guess right ?

I can advice you this rocket options:
1. turn on combine css files into one with minifying option.
2. Activate postponed downloading of js scripts.
3. Turn on mobile cache
4. Install some webp converter plugin and turn on webp support in rocket settings
5. Configure cloudfare account and connect to rocket.

Everything else depends on your website, hosting and theme.
 
First analyse which things are making the product pages slow, my guess is it could be the large-size images or scripts.
If wp rocket didn't work, then try cloudflare and enable the auto minify (javascript)

i've done all of them exept webp

You should compare product pages performance vs any other page of your website that perform better with GTMetrix or PageSpeed Insight and look for relevant difference.

Maybe in product page you're using huge images, which is a common issue when trying to have high quality images (there are many wa yto serve good quality images, without them being huge).

Before using webpexpress try to change images on the page according to the size that they actually take up on the page.

Also check server settings, maybe it's possible to reduce server time response, use gzip compressing.

  • The site´s logo is being lazy loaded - Exclude it
  • The product featured image is also being lazy loaded - Exclude it
    • Also, no need to serve it as PNG (there´s no need for transparent background) as the file size will be bigger by default - Either convert/serve it as JPG or WebP
    • The image is 1000 x 667 pixels in dimension and close to 1MB in weight while being displayed on a 370x246 pixels image container.
  • Download and host fonts locally
  • Unload unused resources - You can install Asset Cleanup for this
    • /plugins/cost-calculator-builder/frontend/dist/css/material.css - 108KB 100% being unused
    • /plugins/cost-calculator-builder/frontend/dist/css/material-styles.css - 800KB100% being unused
    • /wp-includes/css/dist/block-library/style.min.css - 89KB 99.6% being unused (if you´re building/customizing the page using Elementor you might want to unload the Block Library)
    • /plugins/elementor/assets/lib/eicons/css/elementor-icons.min.css - 20KB 100% being unused
    • /plugins/fluentform/public/css/fluent-forms-elementor-widget.css - 4KB 100% being unused (There´s no opt-in form on the page)
  • The Cost Calculator plugin is negatively impacting the site´s performance - You might want to consider moving it below the fold and delaying the execution of the script /plugins/cost-calculator-builder/frontend/dist/bundle.js
