From an SEO and content structure angle, why does Quora often outperform Reddit in SERPs and targeted traffic? Looking for technical breakdowns—indexing, schema, authority, etc.

Quora’s got tighter internal linking and cleaner content blocks for Google to parse. Schema’s better structured too — Q&A, org markup — while Reddit’s a mess of JS and comment noise. Quora threads stay on-topic longer, which helps topical relevance.

Quora’s UX is SEO-optimized by design, Reddit was built for arguments lol.

Both work fine for parasites, but Reddit outperforms Quora in this regard.

I, personally, find reddit ranks better than quora... seems like I'm getting less results from quora.
And... as a regular user I wouldn't read anything on quora and choose reddit instead.

I favor Reddit over Quora.
Reddit may be full of arguments, comments, nerdy and skeptical nonsense but I find it very much authentic than Quora. And I don’t mind clicking a Reddit comment ranking three positions below a Quora post.

To me the thing is, Quora is full of plagiarized garbage copy/paste i find it annoying.

Quora uses machine learning to recommend content in your feed based on your reading history and interests. While Reddit has this too, but Quora's recommendation engine is more content-centric, while Reddit is more community-centric.

it seems like Quora has more JS though

Quora used to be very good, but now it is horrible, for SEO perspective, Reddit has better reputation than Quora. You get better traffic from reddit than quora.

Quora is QA based while Reddit is like community, Subreddits etc. Also lot of Reddit posts goes viral because of movie leaks etc. I am not sure if same happens for Quora.

I feel like it mostly depends on the topic. I've got some good results with Quora with evergreen stuff. Good answers on Quora have the potential to bring traffic for much longer than Reddit, but some things just don't work on Quora, even if you write the best ever answers and have very popular account

Quora outranks Reddit in SEO due to structured Q&A content, rich schema, faster load times, clearer intent match, and stronger topical authority.

A significant feature of Quora is the depth and quality of its answers, which are often written by experts in a wide variety of fields, thereby making it a reliable source of information. In contrast, Reddit thrives on community-driven discussions, resulting in varying levels of quality and depth of content. A structured format and expertise-based approach make Quora ideal for individuals seeking authoritative information.
