Technical SEO Debt??

It seems like technical SEO debt is now killing AI visibility - even for sites that still rank normally on Google.

Things like blocked AI crawlers (Cloudflare), slow pages, messy structure, and weak off-page signals can stop your site from showing in AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity, etc.

Curious if anyone here has noticed the same?
Are you doing separate checks for AI crawlability + off-page trust signals?

Yeah I’ve been seeing the same pattern. Sites that rank fine in Google still get zero visibility in AI surfaces when they’ve got technical clutter or blocked bots. In a few audits I ran recently the big issues were Cloudflare rules accidentally blocking AI crawlers, super heavy JS that slows down render, and weak link trust that makes AI systems treat the site as low quality even if the content is good.

I’ve started doing separate checks now just to be safe. Bot access for the major AI crawlers plus basic trust signals like link velocity and brand mentions. Seems to help a lot.
