Technical Question about Privacy

I apologise if this is not the place to ask, but was not sure where else.

On checking the whois of a new domain I registered with namecheap, and hosted on hostgator I checked the whois with whorush dot com.
I noticed the Reverse Hostmaster email was my primary email!!
The domain has Whois Guard activated
Can anybody tell me where this comes from?
Hostgater say it is not them as they do not control whois.
Namecheap say they dont know where that comes from!!!
Is this something I have goofed on in setting up the domain in WHM panel, or WordPress,
I'm stumped so any guidance would be appreciated, and I suggest others check their domains.

Surely that must be a Namecheap issue and the Whois protection they have setup. Harass them!

Sorry to bring up an old thread but the same exact thing is happening to me with hostwinds and hostwinds is telling me they dont know whats causing it also. I absolutely need this to not show my email Thanks

If its the SOA record then it's your registar's zone records
If its the whois record then it's your registrars DNS records.
