Tech blogs? Good idea or too over saturated?

I am currently working on a "Top Ten Electronics" blog and I am just curious if any of you have tried something similar. I plan to Make a list of 10 good tech items for ex. "Top Ten Gaming Headsets of 2016 Under $50" and then add affiliate links to them. I just want some opinions on if it's a good idea and some advice on how to get traffic to the blog when I have absolutely no money to invest into ads.

Very saturated, there's a lot of BIG websites. Cnet, Mashable, TechCrunch, and they make BIG bucks...
