Hello,

Have any of you considered teaching online money making methods to complete noobs?

I was thinking of distributing flyers around my college, using a classroom there (For free) and having a bit of a power point presentation which shows them how to make money with something like Clickbank.

Ive actually made thousands using CB so I can back it up. If I had 15 people, and charged $50 I could get $750 a session. What do you think? Any one tried anything similiar??

I've always thought this would be a good idea. I've felt that maybe having some kind of product/service that goes along with the subject to sell and offering the seminar for free, in the event you were having issues getting enough people to pay the registration fee.

Funny that this thread came up, I was thinking about doing the exactly the same thing; offering a free seminar and use it to market a product or SEO/IM tactics that make money then guarantee that they make x amount of dollars at the end of the course. Of course, I give them the tools, they pay me a registration fee or commission of some sort, and then everyone is happy!

Don't forget your costs such as room, PP projector, printing, advertising, credit card processing, handouts, etc... All of this adds up.

If you're going to teach them how to do something why not your own product? Teach them how to make money as an affiliate and use your own product as an example as you walk them through the process.

This means that you could make residual profits from teaching them how to sell your product. (Of course, you don't have to tell them it's your product).

Selling a seminar on clickbank may be a harder sale simply because your market may not be familiar with clickbank. You may want to start with something that appeals to your market, such as college men could be, "How to Quickly & Effortlessly Pick Up Beautiful Women You Wouldn't Dream Would Go Out With You!"

Here's a popular subject, "How to Write Your Own Profitable Informational Ebook"

I conduct these every once in awhile for fun. Tickets sell for $99 and are sold by local bookstores. (I do a joint venture with them). My area of 150k population brings in an average of 63 attendees. It's a four hour course.

There are quite a few people who want to write their own book. Who have dreams of being a best selling author. They'll pay for this kind of education. In fact, many of my attendees are repeat attendees.

The beauty of something like this is that you can conduct more advance seminars on the same subject and sell to your attendees.

Thanks is always appreciated if you found this helpful...

Yeah, I'm actually thinking about starting local workshops for business owners both online and offline. Surprisingly, it's quite easy to convince them to come in. Twice a week just rent out a studio for $100 for 2 hours. Offer biscuits, coffee, pens and paper and you're set. Within a month or two you will be averaging over $5000.

Talk about killing the golden goose.

This is a business best kept underground, or if you are going to teach it then offer it like one of those WSO ebooks, without any detail, or too much detail for anyone to understand.

This business will be dead on arrival if there are millions of people doing it.

But how many will actually follow through? About the same number of people as those who join gyms and then don't work out...kinda like you hear about people reading on here all day and not implementing the methods.

Execution goes a long way but few are those who follow through.

Probably true. Once they get a feel for the enormous amount of work (some) methods take, they will start and give up. Only about 10% likely to carry on. We won't tell them about the methods that are easy :D

Don't forget to sell them hosting through your affiliate link and get another $100
each.

Why not start your own affiliate program and teach them how to make money through your program? Sorta like some ewhore programs do. That way your making money from the class and continue to make money from the people that actually put what they learned to use.

Granted I'm with everyone that's saying don't saturate the market even worse then it is but if your gonna do it that seems like the best way to make the most out of it in the long run.

Trying to teach other people how to make money is pretty much a waste of time. Most people never follow through. If they really wanted to make money online, all the info is freely available.

(Talking out loud.) Hmm. That reminds me. I need to make slides to promote blogging and ecommerce in the university.

What you should do is throw in a ton of affiliate links. Get a hosting site that offers around $60 for a referral, then have them all sign up with your affiliate link to sites like clickbank, and that could make you some good money. You'll get rewarded if they actually learn something because you'll make a decent percent of it.

there was something shared here like $10,000 in a weekend samething just bigger scale came with power slides all that stuff

To be honest you can probably make more if you offer a free seminar. Give them a seminar and then sell the back end products. Create a physical product and sell it for 197-297 for a dvd with manual. Perceived value is higher and cause you've proven to them, and you've build rapport, some will buy.

Wow, if you do this please let us know how it turns out. You might want to get someone else on board to help you(take some of the workload off) and you could make it a regular thing.

As mentioned most people just talk about it and very few people get out there and do it. If you're afraid to speak to a business owner then you'll never make it trying to convince people to attend a seminar whether free or paid.

I'm always available for a JV teleseminar. If you want to interview me on any topic having to do with marketing, advertising, offline consulting, Internet marketing or sales I'd be happy to JV with you if you have a well thought out proposal.

You provide the attendees and teleconference system and I do all the work by answering your questions. This is a great way to get your feet wet without being in the spotlight. If you've wanted to get into teleseminars this is a good way to get started with someone you already know.

Your best bet is small business owners. They're desperately looking for help at the moment. At this moment, I'm on my site trying to answer questions from small business owners. I post the questions and answers on my site. (Yes a teleseminar is faster but I'm looking for seo content).

JimBean: No reason why you can't sell tickets AND offer back of room sales. I personally prefer to have my money upfront, especially in this economy.
