Ok. I still live with my parents. Not for too much longer. I just want to make sure my income is sustained before doing anything.

I want to promote quickbucks. When I get a w-2 form at the end of the year, will it show that I got the money from quickbucks?

I don't want my parents to figure out i'm promoting a pron site...

How old you? Your parents may try to claim you for their taxes and if that happens you're screwed.

I think you're mistaken. QB is just a subsidary of the corporation that owns QB. They're smart enough to name the corporation something that doesn't infer that its an adult program. Not many wives would be okay with their husbands promoting something like that.

OP - Try going to QB's site and looking at the very bottom to see what the name of the company is that has the copyright. That should answer your question. :)

Thats a relief. I've been looking around the site though and can't find the corporation. Can you find it anywhere?

I haven't bothered to look, but I can tell you from past experience with other companies that QB will almost without a doubt not show up as the name on the check.

Bro, I appreciate your prudent demeanor, as this is a virtue, but you really have nothing to worry about. I can almost gurantee that checks from your CU earnings will not say Cash University across the top. Even if they did, there's nothing suggestive about the words "Cash University". But I'm almost positive they don't. Did you try checking the bottom of their site for a corp/llc name?

You will not get a W-2, if your affiliate program issues any tax forms it will be a 1099.

You should also be aware that as you are getting a 1099 the feds screw you on social security taxes, charging you double whatever you would normally pay on a W-2 for the same amount. If your making more than $3 or $4k a month you may wish to consult an accountant about forming a corporation to run your money through, will save you a bundle.
 
yup, open an LLC will be a good idea because it can help you with lots of stuffs
depend on your state, but for most state, it's somewhat cheap and easy to have one
