If you target multiple keywords, do you build backlinks to them simultaneously or do you do them separately? Like rank a keyword to page 1 then move on to the next keyword?

I do them all at once, sometimes it helps one keyword by using longtail versions of it.

My advice is to go for multiple keywords for various reasons: keywords are always moving ups and down, diversifiyng anchor text is always good, never become obsessed of searching your website in serps, just do your job and results will come ( if your knowledge is ok)

Divesifying your keywords is better for seo. So its better to do them all at once, simultaneously.

When my targeted keywords ranked page 1, I will shift more ammo to other keywords, but still backlinking them. If drastic drop in linking velocity, will also alarm big G.

When we target for high keywords its better to target all at once or else you can decide certain keywords and ranks them separately.
Ultimately long tail keywords are easy to rank and very effective.

Whether you do them all at once or individually, what's more important is the quality and consistency of the links that are being built.
