I am looking to seriously cut my PPV spending by only targeting the order page. I know some PPV guides recommend this, but I am not sure it would work, and here is why

Let's say I decide to only target widgets.com/orderpage instead of widgets.com. If there is another PPV marketer bidding on widgets.com, then my guess would be that when the user goes to the order page, they wouldn't be going to widgets.com/orderpage. Instead, they will be going to widgets.com/orderpage with an affiliate code in that page. So basically, I would have to find out the exact address with that affiliate's code in it, and target that page

Am I correct on this?

I think this question was already asked and answered.
Check the "bidding-question" question.

I have never gotten a single impression from targeting the order page

Interesting that some PPV "experts" recommend this. Either they know something we don't or they are full of it

I've tried a few times targeting stuff on Amazon like this and couldn't get any impressions in the number one spot.

In order to get any impressions, you have to bid higher than the top bid for the entire domain, not just the page

Still, I have yet to get any sales this way
