Hi all,

This might be a dumb question but I find myself in a situation where a couple of my sites were penalized or are not ranking very well anymore. Based on resources, i'd like to target similar keywords as these penalized sites but with better content, easier competition, (hopefully) less links, etc.

I feel like starting over is the better option. However, are there any issues if I target the same keywords from different websites on the same IP address? The content would be unique but feel I would also be inadvertently targeting similar keywords just because of the niche.

Anyway - wanted to see if this is ok to do, or if I am shooting myself in the foot from the get go.

Thanks.

Are you on shared hosting with a shared IP or do you have a dedicated IP? I'd go for a different IP just to avoid the chance of it being a problem.

Having multiple money sites on one IP is problematic. I did just that years ago when I didn't have much of a budget. They're different niches, but when I make a PBN, i have to get a completely different hosting. Can't do 2 PBNs from one host because then it's pretty obvious. If the niches are the same, I wouldn't be able to point links to more than just one money site either. Anyways, it's becoming a costly mistake.

Why do you have to cut corners and risk anything for $5 a month for some other half decent hosting for your other site? I absolutely don't get this.
