targeting misspelled keywords - do you do it?

I haven't heard of anyone doing this for a long time and even when I did I thought it was a bad idea. Does anyone have any experience in targeting misspelt keywords? We've recently been given a list of keywords and half of them are just misspelt keywords. Should we be targeting these on a large e-commerce website or just ignore them and hope Google's algorithm knows the keywords are spelt wrong and serves pages with the correct spelling?

Not really worth it any more because of how Google changes it, like you mentioned.

One of of my biggest traffic keywords is a misspelt. I've now uncovered another good one.... Is there a risk G will dislike my site for this? I'm sure there is some risk... Anyone got experience?
