targeting keywords for specific

Hey fellas

I want to target a keyword that is used to navigate to a specific site (for example targeting the word "Gamespot") because I believe I can rank #2 or even pass that site, my site will target pretty much the same content - is it a waste of time if Im ranked #2 (meaning everyone will just click the site they targeted for?)

Anyone had personal experience and don't mind sharing I'd really appreciate that

Are you targeting gaming niche? Just for information, this niche is very competitive and getting ranked for good keywords is extremely difficult.

Anyways, It is not waste of time #2 is very good (if you somehow manage to get it)
