So I thought, why the hell not target my main competitor's domain name rather then the services/products we both promote. My competitors stats, roughly using G's keyword tool:
Searches per month for them in Google: 362k (about the same globally and locally)
inurl:theirdomain -theirdomain.com (19k)
intitle:theirdomain -theirdomain.com (19.4k)
I just started blog commenting using Scrapebox, using theirs and my domain names as the keyword, I'm currently at around #50 on G for their domain, so I think it's a possibility of getting on page #1 with a little effort. I'm currently writing SEO articles on my site using their domain as the keyword target, I'm hoping within a few weeks of making it to page 1.
They have 364,000 pages indexed, I have 28,300. They're 5 years old with a PR 4 homepage, my site is 8 months old and just FINALLY got PR1 on my homepage. They have 14 G backlinks, I have zero. They have 21,933 YSE backlinks, I have 856.
Do you think this is possible, or am I just pissin' up a rope?
