I have sworn by Digg for traffic to my blogs. If you Digg every post, you can expect it to account for at least half of your traffic, until you get indexed. And what is the system to get your blog indexed the fastest? Digg. Not to mention that after you get indexed, digg will continue to bring in large amounts of traffic. This, mixed with Stumble, Delicious, and Technorati is a one, two, three, four punch for SEO and traffic.

Not just traffic... but links.

if you do get to the digg frontpage, you'll get a lot of quality links. I use digg as a link building tool by aiming only for the frontpage. It's a superb way to rank quickly for semi-competitive keywords and beat your competitors.

But yeah, digg is good for helping new pages get indexed.

Agreed. I have been using Digg for my Celebrity blog (old niche, yes) since the beginning, and that site's traffic represents about 60% of mine (over 1500 unique IP's and 4000 page views er day according to GA). Digg has EXTREMELY vast potential if used correctly.

Being a digg n00b, can someone point to a resource on how to use digg effectively for traffic building. Thanks in advance.
