For the ones who don't know "Taobao", its like the chinese Amazon. I saw some pretty cool stuff on there and wanted to give it a try. Made an account and tried to buy some stuff, but always got an error. In this error they told me to download the app on my phone to fix it.
Downloaded the app, went to the settings and they told me I can't buy something with this account, because I registered my Wechat/Alipay with another e-mail address (how do they even know?) and its prohibited to use another e-mail address. The punishment is I can't use my account (which is now bounded to my chinese phone number - yes, i had to verify my account when I registered it) to purchase anything. So basically my account is useless.
Since the account is useless, I wanted to delete the account. They got my phone number, e-mail etc., wrote to the support and they told me I am not allowed to delete my account. LOL. I asked why and they replied its my "punishment" for using two different e-mails.
Basically they lock my account, because I use another email address on another app. Wtf?!
Imagine Google, Amazon, Instagram, Facebook etc. would do the same shit. Every e-mail address is connected to a phone number, which is connected to your ID card. And we would have no chance to create multiple accounts anymore, because everything would be under control. Its so fucking crazy
