Anyone knows if Taobao has an affiliate programme?

I know that they use to have one internationally, but it seems to have closed.

Keen. Anyone wish to explore more please PM

Don't think so, taobao is usually more towards C2C, usually customer deal with customer so i think nope

They have a partners program but I can't read chinese so can't help you too much with that. Just scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and look for it. Small print.

I can read chinese. Taobao doesn't have any affiliate program (unless i missed it). They are almost like a chinese ebay - meaning it's just a platform for vendors to sell to the customers, but how the vendors wants to operate, price or ship the product is entirely up to the vendor themselves. So if youre looking for a affiliate program, you will need to speak to the vendor directly.

And, in case you're hoping to speak to them directly, you can do it via the vendor's/shop's chat system.

Yeah found it. It's alimama. Their interface is so complicated and I have no idea how to navigate.

I'm not saying Ebay doesnt have affiliate program. I'm saying Taobao is a platform like Ebay and I mean just that.

The 'partners' section at the footer is purely in regards to taobao the company itself - For example, they are working with 支付宝 (zhi fu bao) for payment option and etc.

Alimama seems like a data collection/analysing service sort of thing. I'll go read up more and get back to you! :)

Keep me posted! Might be keen in a JV or collaboration if they have an affiliate programme :)

I represent e-Commerce Partners Network - affiliate CPA network. We specialize on chinese online stores, such as Aliexpress (Alibaba group), GearBest and Banggood.
Taobao does not work worldwide, in China, Hongkong, Taiwan and Makao, if I'm not mistaken. Aliexpress and Gearbest are focused on outer market and offer worldwide affiliate program.
If you are interested in, you can reply this message, pm me or check our network ePN.bz

Yep Taobao have affiliate program, but is only for chinese mainland people

Yup, as others said, Alimama is indeed the affiliate program of Taobao.com, though I don't know how you can apply this into your website or social medias.

Because Taobao vendors are all Chinese, and they only ship in China, but if your website got a ton of Chinese traffic, this may work I think, BUT, these Chinese traffic MUST NOT be from hongkong or taiwan, just because Taobao.com goods wont ship to over that long distance lol.

Beside taobao.com, you can find other big affiliate program like Jingdong.com (which focus electronics) and dangdang.com (books) and Amazon.cn (which yeah, you guessed it).

Btw, I am a Chinese, further questions are welcomed.

Hi terrycody,

Does a foreigner need to have bank account in China in order for joining and get paid for the affiliate program like Jingdong.com, dangdang.com (I noticed that Amazon.cn need local China account)? For the case that China bank account needed, is it possible to open one outside of China?
