Taking Things more Serious - Amazon Affiliate and Client Work

Awesome, I am looking forward to seeing what happens. Do you mind if I ask you how the new Amazon associates pricing structure will affect you? Or are you just ignoring that and going ahead with what you have planned
Afaik german rates stay the same, so it won't affect me. I will start the second site for the american market no matter what the rates are now.
Nice. I have similar site with amazon aff links.

1. Do you aim specific niche?
2. How do you do Interlinking?
3. How do you send people to amazon? "Buy it now buttons"? What text do you use?
1. Nope, everything I can get my hands on.
2. I only link to the previous and the next post from each post (standard structure of the wp standard theme)
3. Something like "check it on amazon"

Good luck buddy

Thanks :)

Good luck. How do you bring traffic to your site? I am astonished google giving you rank, despite having scrapy duplicate content

I'm too. All my traffic is organic traffic from google :) Would not believe too that it's that "easy" if I would not experience it myself :)

what type of content do you have for your american sites? is it product reviews or. good luck on your journey!

Product information and such stuff.

Got some problems with my php scripts for content scraping and inserting not running the way I want them to. Gotta fix that in the next few days. Working with @littlewebdragon and the Servikus hosting already made my life easier. Site is much faster than with godaddy and their support is just awesome.

I can't get this script running, I don't know why it's not working properly. I'll rewrite it next week, gonna write an exam friday that will keep me busy until then. Ordered a few pbn posts to the homepage of my german site to see if that helps with ranking of the subpages :) The last time I got a few pbn links for free my average ranking went up by 2 positions so I'm quite optimistic.

Good news. The script is running exactly how it should. HUGE Thanks to @littlewebdragon, although he's only my hosting provider he helped me getting this code up and running and tell me which errors I had. Best service I actually ever experienced when it comes to hosting, most other hosting providers don't even want to help you change server settings.

It is now much more efficient, I was able to insert 5 times the amount of posts with the same memory usage :) It's quicker too so everything should work now. I will now add a few thousand posts in the next few days and just wait for google to hopefully index them. Will update then :)

Had a new traffic record on the german site on sunday and hit 700$ in earnings so I'm really looking forward to next month, although I saw that similar sites like mine have already disappeared from serps. Will be interesting to see how long my site is able to pull in that amount of traffic.

Good luck with your journey mate.

Following your journey.
Good Luck :)
Best of luck in your journey! bookmarked
Thank you all :)

I had some serious speed problems with the american site, I guess I made it atleast a bit better by removing the menu (hell yeah huge menus slow down wordpress really hard) and disabling a plugin. Sadly it was the star rating plugin, but it is coded so inefficiently that it's not usable for my purpose. With improved caching my inner pages now load in 1-3 seconds (1 if cached, 3 if uncached) and that will be okay for me now. Still waiting for my first organic hit though. Google does not make my life easier, I only got a few indexed pages yet and there are some I set to noindex ... I got the site loaded with 3k posts, will wait another few days and see what happens. If the posts don't get indexed naturally I might consider using an Indexing service.

Small Update:
Site 2#:
Loaded my site with a few more posts. @alextexan was kind enough to give me a free trial for his indexing service to support this journey! :) I randomly chose 500 of my pages and submitted them, dripping them over 3 days.

Site 1#:
Traffic on the german site is sitting around 350 visitors a day. 80€ so far this month and in the end 750€ for february :)

Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm quite busy with university and my job.

Site #2:
Google.com is a bitch compared to google.de.
Although 2.100 pages are indexed now (thanks to @alextexan for his free indexing service test), I only get 6-20 visitors/day. Sold 7 items so far and earned 3.39$

Site #1:
Didn't do anything for this site so far this month. This is passive income at its best and its awesome. Earnings for this month 430€ yet. Traffic is stable at 300-400 visitors/day.

Got some work to do currently for my "normal" job and going to write an exam I definitely want to pass because I don't want to do all this shit again next year. I'll be on vacation additionally so don't expect to many interesting updates shortly. If I don't do it earlier I will update at the end of the month for earnings and plans for the future.

Back from vacation. Spent a week in Stockholm, it's a really beautiful city.

Site #2:
Damn, Amazon caught my Site at a moment it was not available. I guess I fucked up with something while setting up the site so sometimes it shows an error. This really happens rarely and it nearly didn't affect my visitors, but Amazon. Got declined from Associates program after earning 40$. Sad thing. Think about reusing this domain and hosting for another niche now as this one wasn't perfect.

Site #1:
Everything is fine, just hit 900€ this month.

I know this updates aren't fancy, but I ain't got time for more work right now :)

So guys, first quarter of 2017 has passed by and it's time to sum things up.

This was (financially spoken) the best quarter in my life. I've been going to school before and never earned as much before. It's now more than a year that I started with IM and I actually thought I'd be in a better position right now, but it's fine where I'm now. I did have some unsuccessfull projects last year and lost money and it was hard for me as losses summed up and I was struggling whether I'd ever be able to make that money back. One quarter ahead and I'm in the profit zone. Amazing feeling.
Biggest problem: All my income is currently depending on a project that won't be last for very long. It could crash everyday and I'd be back at 0. I started growing a few instagram accounts last year to have more options and all my accounts do now have 115k followers in total, but I'm yet to monetize them. Maybe I'm going to flip them here and focus on affiliate websites.
The second website I started got kicked out of the affiliates program and I struggle to change all the affiliate links because somehow my changes won't work. With current traffic that site would make 70-80$ per month I guess. Will deindex all the content soon and see if that domain is still usable for another niche.

To stop being dependent on organic traffic I started a new project that's managed by my gf and should get social traffic. Site is currently being set up and I'll release details later. I actually have quite a lot niche ideas, but I'm yet to set those sites up. Procrastination and not taking action is still in my way, but I'm going to attack this.

For everyone who's interested in the stats, that is the full first quarter for site #1:

I'd have never expected that, but it worked. I hope I can come up with some good updates soon! :)

It's been another two weeks since the last update and not too much changed. We (me & my gf) set up a second site that I wanted to work with social traffic. Therefore installed a Like Jacker on my first site and jacked ~180 likes so far. Facebook posting brings in so far around 2-3 UV/day. Still room for improvement there, so I'll continue to jack likes and post stuff on FB. Maybe that will become a reliable traffic source one day. Currently improving SEO on that site as I already found a few gems I could rank for. These are keywords between 10-50 searches a month, but they should be easy to rank. That means I'm going through all articles currently and take a look if I find some good keywords and add them to the text.

After reading about it on @Shaunm 's blog I started to use Rescue Time on my Computer and Mobile Phone. Was very shocking to see how many time I spend on some entertainment apps where I purely waste my time. Even if I use this app at an low point where I can't work as productive, I'd value my time at least at 7$/hour. If I use that app just 5h a week I'm wasting like 150$ a month on this app. Thinking about such stuff makes me feel really mad about how I spend my time. I'll continously try to lower the time I spend on unproductive stuff and increase my productivity. Actually got quite a few good ideas I'm yet to put into action. We'll see if that works or not. I'll try to update this thread as often as I can and keep you guys updated.

Hello Bro
How Amazon approve your sites? Are you afraid of being banned by Amazon/Google? Seems your site has a lot of pages with thin content.
