taking over someone's GMB

I think I have figured out a way to take over someone else's GMB, but only in certain cases (the GMB has to be kind of abandoned)

my question is, if you verify someone's GMB under your own gmail, do they get any notice of this?

Are you talking about an abandoned and bankrupt business or a live business?
 
Changing the phone number by suggesting the edit helps as well but if you are taking over someone's GMB, they will do get an email notice.
 
This is only doable if you have higher level of Google Business Maps account as reviewer but you cant avoid their notification to the first email assigned to GMB

it depends if business is physical location or area service, you can request ownership and the you wait 3 days for old owner to replay, for every claim current owner gets email, so you cant takeover/steal or what ever other bullshit

all businesses that are physical location require, or will requite card verification after you claim it as your own, only in special cases you can do it without,
(and that is for example verification by phone, but you cant change phone and then require verification, it can only be done with location old phone)

service area you can claim it and if no one replay in 3 days you are the owner
 
It depends, if that person had not claimed it, you have equal chances of grabbing the GMB. But if it was taken, the other person will be contacted for any changes that you intend to make.

Help you do what exactly? Write what you wanna do, and we will see if it possible.
If you wanna claim existing business listing that is live, and win that claim, then that business owner cant be active, if he is active he would probably reject your clam, but you can try :D
