I know it's a real dick tactic, but is it worth link spamming to take out competitors? Could it backfire and give them more juice even though it will be thousands of blatant spam links on crappy sites?

But what I do have are a very particular set of tools, tools I have acquired over a very long career. Tools that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my site rank, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will deindex your site.

Haha that's good, fair enough.

Dont be the guy that throw the sucker punch. Work your way up with excellence. If someone slap you, find him and knock his teeth out. Simple as that.

To be serious for a sec.
Taking out the competition is only a short term solution.
They will not give up and if they do others will come fighting for the top place.

Its better to go with a strategic long term pan to outrank them all.

To the OP, a bunch of spam links aren't gonna do shit to tank your competitor. You can destroy their anchor text but it won't tank their rankings. I ran nearly a year long case study on this trying every trick in the book except for a couple hacking techniques that would only work temporarily.

Spam will not take down a competitors site. You can blast millions and millions of links. You can do it "smart" by slowly steering their anchor text off course over a long period of time to slowly kill relevancy. You can order sape links and report them. You can do all types of shit. But you're gonna waste a lot of time in the long run. Also, you will find a lot of guys on here talking shit / acting smarter than they really are but consider this.

This is a blackhat forum. If there is ANYWHERE to discuss tanking a site this is the forum. But you won't find 1 case study or 1 mfkr on this site you can do it for you.

There are a few guys with hacking skills who can take a site down temporarily. But guess what? The sites gonna be back up in less than 24 hours and you will have accomplished shit.

I'm not against NSEO cause it's immoral, I'm against it cause it simply doesn't work. Anyone who tells you otherwise won't have ANY real world data, case studies or proof to back up their word. They may write some ridiculous conspiracy theories but that's all. You could go as far as offering them $100,000 to tank your competitors site and they'd just come back saying some stupid shit like, "I can't do it for xxx lame reason".

That's the reality of NSEO. People have been talking about it for years but it's just a blackhat unicornian folk tale.

Seems weird that someone with ''a very long career'' still goes after $10 a day in twitter. Steep learning curve?

That was harsh. Maybe he's just playing with twitter and he is good at seo?

I doubt so. But thats not a point. The point is there's a lot of misinformation around and people consume all that bullshit. My advise to OP is - test your theory yourself. It takes more time/recources, but you will gain more experience and a higher chance of landing on the right path.

Another thing to consider : if every competitive website could take out their competitor, would any business be left on the WWW?

Just show your Moobs to your competitors and they'll be scared for life and probably delete their website.

Fair enough. Whatever floats your boat

These tend to work, permanently

Well, there's a legit way to put competitors at least to number 10 or on the second page of the SERPS...
