Taking down a competitors site

A client asked me if I could help him reduce his competitors ranking. He says the competitor has stolen his product line so he feels justified in sabotaging him.

I doubt I will help him but wondered if you guys thought it was possible.

Exactly. If you can't keep up with your competition you shouldn't be in IM.

Spam the hell out of Matt Cutt's Personal Blog with your competitor's url. Only takes half an hour. Really works!

Thanks for the input. The guy is just a bit lazy and doesn't want to do create some content I've asked for so now he is thinking of other ways. I will tell him he can figure it out.

I have a good tool, it will send fake chinese traffic 3000UV every day if you keep your PC open, you can even just input the competitor's adsense link to surf, you can think 3000 fake chinese UV hit on his adsense, he is going to suicide, if I were you, I will not do that, if you insist, I will share it in the download section

It's all good and well but when the competitor realises he only has to look as far as his or her
nearest rival it'll start a tit for tat war and no one will make any money. I wouldn't call that
black hat at all, I'd call it slack. All you are doing is proving to yourself is this person is better at IM than you. Either give up IM altogether or improve on your performance. What? are you going to do this to every site that has better rankings than you?

I've got to say that if you can easily have a shot at getting a competitor site done for spam, it may be worth a go - for example, getting wordpress.com competitors banned is pretty easy unless they are skilled at making splogs look human. Little effort on your part, and they won't know its you. And unless they're pro, they probably won't know how to hit back. IM is dog-eat-dog.
