Taking action

Hey guys , I read a lot of threads on BHW and decidet to act , this is my plan.
I will start a personal blog in romanian , I have writen some original articles so I have something to start with.
I will buy domain + hosting and using WP theme , adding my articles and after that I will post new and original ones from news and events and so on. I will do a little SEO of myself ( not very good at it ) , after about a 2-3 months I will buy a SEO package from BHW to rank. After that apply for Adsense to start earning.
What do you guys think? Suggestions are welcome!
Is it a good decision to buy hosting from romanian company since my domain wil be .ro ?

Is it a good decision to buy hosting from romanian company since my domain will be .ro ?

It is not the problem for starting time. Next, switch to famous hosting when visitor increase.

Why a "personal" blog? Personal blogs don't make money. Unless you are famous, controversial, or already have some sort of following, people won't be interested in you. You're better off picking a niche and focusing on that. Do a personal blog on the side.

The content will be mixt : how to , news debates , life hacks , and so on

I would go for a TLD (.com .net .org .edu .gov ...)
Google hates .ru / .tk / .ml ... Don't know about .ro

Small words, easy to remember, easy to pronounce...

I am thinking that choosing a .ro domain will be more ok with google since the content will be in romanian

Then, check twice that your monetization methods are country agnostic or don't treat your romanian traffic as junk...
Often Tier 1 countries Australia, Austria, US, UK, DE, FR...

Don't think it matters. Check gandul.info or ziare.com. I think google knows when a site is in romanian. You can monetize also with profitshare. Good luck.

The plan is just fine, the only thing is that romanian adsense clicks probably won't be worth too much and you end up working a lot and spending a lot of time on your blog for poor results even if you manage to get traffic.

Sounds great. I don't really think of this as a personal blog so much as a viralnova/news clone type of site. If you will be blogging about popular and trending topics though, just remember you will have a lot of competition, so you need a lot of possible linking venues. Best place for these is typical with good social network setups, groups, pages, etc...

Viral content always has possible opportunities to have an exponential traffic growth spike so it's a good overall model, but you do have to create compelling content with good headlines, images, and short distinct sentences. Mass appeal blogs have a lot of potential for the right owner, so I say go for it. Lots of folks are making money currently in these models.

Thanks. I know that romanian traffic doesen't pay as US or other more developed countrys , but its the best shot i got.

If I end up making 200-300$/month , it is enough for me , since that is what my day job is getting me.
