Taking acting lessons to get success on youtube...

I think that going down the path of the expert video editor that spends tons of time to polish videos is not that much of a good idea when comparing to the path of the actor.

I see most media personas become famous not because of their outstanding philosophy, although it plays its part, but mainly because of their iconic expressions. I think Jordan Peterson said nothing new, but he looks like Christopher Lee and he imitates Count Dooku from Star Wars, looking kinda like a ww2 British aristocrat with that sinister "based" look.

What do you think, is acting a better skill to invest in than anything else?

Good actor will never have to sleep hungry. But some want fame which is wrong thing to choose. Satisfaction with work should be end goal.
 
The whole life consists of acting. Whoever plays the best gets the job he wants, etc..

Fake it till you make it (but make it)

You can also practice well in front of the mirror, at first it is unusual and you feel stupid. The more you do it the better you get and start to play your role.

As you pretend, it may start to integrate with your behavior, and you might find yourself performing proficiently. Imagine mimicking someone's gait, you won't realize it until it becomes a habit.

Being on camera is a skill that takes practice. My first video sucked compared to my 100th one. Only way to get better is by doing.

Yeah, I did a lot of practice too but the most I did was to become non-cringey. But the goal is to be interesting not just non-cringey. For example, look at this video, look at how interesting it is simple because there is a variety of expression
 
This thread is really interesting.

Acting is a hard thing to do, especially front of camera or a crowd, it takes lot of practice and trying.

I wanted to create a YT channel for a long but somehow i am bit hesitant, or facing the camera, its hard to be first timer.

Hope some one will give better response in this thread. :)
