Hey guys first off this isnt a post about needing pep talks from people keeping me in the game. I've already decided that I need a break from SEO, its not fun to me anymore. Im gonna take a couple months off while I work on a different hobby(wood working) that enjoy. Yes, SEO is a hobby to me. Like it is to many other people here.

Anyways onto the real reason. I built a web 2.0 property on its own private cloud server thats just going to waste every month. Its not getting much traffic all my sites that I own are hosted there but not really getting used. I would like to offer 20 black hatters the opportunity to have free hosting. Its a wordpress mu site and it used the domain mapping plugin. The site shockup.com is a PR 3 and 8 years old. So it can handle a little abuse.

If you dont want to use the hosting and you just want another web2.0 to add to your list go right ahead.

coupon code: BH-FREE

Good luck to you guys and gals.

Thanks for the Web2 site. I'll add it to my list and check it out later.

Sorry to hear about your lack of enthusiasm. It happens to everybody from time to time.

When you get back maybe it will be more fun for you. I doubt it will be any easier though! :)

Sometimes the fun stuff that you love and do for S & G can be the best, most profitable thing in your arsenal. :)

And yes, now Oxonbeef is our beloved Executive VIP!

1. you're lucky to have an alternative activity beyond SEO that you like AND that you can make money doing.

2. I wouldn't worry about SEO being harder when you get back. Sounds like you're frustrated to the point where continuing to push a sled of dogs that just don't have it in them is going to compound that frustration. Run away from the computer and enjoy your time in nature and feeling human again.

I haven't had a hobby since I became so enamored and financially dependent on SEO 2 years ago. But it's starting to feel like a curse rather than a blessing.

I think i'm going to have to detechnologify for a bit and definitely get Google rankings out of my head.

haha sorry your post just brought out a lot of thoughts. You'll be fine. Get away, you'll come back refreshed and will probably come up with some brilliant project ideas while you're wood carving

I applaud your initiative to escape the screen and disconnect from the IM/SEO world for an extended amount of time. The combination of Internet dependence, both personally and financially, make it hard for me to get away and even harder for me to enjoy it when I do.

Its good to take a break, just make sure a break doesn't turn into quit...which happens often.

Ive had some success nothing to brag about, but enough to get the bug. Got to the point where I was constantly checking rankings, stats, tweaking this tweaking that. I was always writing down keywords thru out the day. Quickly getting home to check them. Spent so much time on the computer that my shoulder starter hurting. Cant attribute all that to IM thou Ive always been a fan of MMOs. They where just replaced with IM when I caught that bug.

I understand your dependence of the chair. Its very addicting. When I was in the army, my drill sergeant told me, "The only thing that will make me better at push ups are more push ups." Which to me it means if you want to take a break, force yourself to take a break. Maybe alot some time for something else that you enjoy and stick to it.

Im not going to quit. Just going to take a break work on something that once finished it becomes a beautiful permanent thing. Not something that will disappear after a month or two.

When I first started I loved writing, as much as one could. Enjoyed reading about subjects and then rewriting websites about what I read. It was fun. Now its not fun its tedious.

Anyways heres my first real project, it has flaws but its a good start IMO.

Ive been taking loads of pictures of the work ive been doing and in a couple months Ill probably make a website. Will I get traffic, I dunno. Will it make money, I dunno. Is there top paying keywords that I must RANK FOOOORR!!! I dunno and dont care. But for once it will be real information, with real pictures that I took and helpful. Anyways thanks to thous that have signed up, Ive upgraded you and I hope you enjoy the free hosting.

Dude that looks great!! And thank you for the kind words as well!

you should record some quality woodworking tutorials and make a site around it. there's some offers on clickbank for building wood sheds and chicken coops etc. also you could promote different power tools on CJ or shareasale.

anyway best of luck to you!

Your mind is perfect for IM.

11 more spots open if anyone still needs them.

I went ahead and signed up, but is there any way to claim it without giving automatically renewing payment information (in this case, paying for the first year with a $0 PayPal payment, and having it automatically charge $100 next year)?

It shouldnt bill next year, but lemme check into this. If so I definitely want to fix this. But if anyone else has a problem with this just msg me and I manually will upgrade you.

Which I did you for you Art just now. So just cancel anything related to paypal.

So going forward from this anyone who wants to sign up just sign up and then msg me via BH World email with the address or username of the account. Dont bother with upgraded account Ill take care of that.

Thanks a lot - I really appreciate the effort and gesture.

Good luck with all that you do during and after your break. I'm sure it will be nice to hit the refresh button for a little while.
