Take Over Protesting Subs

I thought the mods accs have to be with no activity on Reddit for 30 days.. if they don't mod for 30 days then that doesn't count.. they might always be doing some mod actions behind the scenes also so I don't think this will be helpful.
 
I believe they already know about this and they won't lose it they might enable it maybe for a moment and then gone again could be just for one day and most of the ones are big pages so they have time working on reddit to make this happen.
 
It may be possible to take control of protesting subs regardless of mod activity. Reddit has said they will replace old moderators with new ones if subs continue to protest. Might as well try! Check out this account FMI: https://old.reddit.com/user/modcodeofconduct

This is true, no idea on how to take over those subs though. Doubt reddit admins would give those huge subs to random accounts.

You'll probably need an aged account with moderator history, Could even be your own sub. IIRC the reddit request bot checks what size subs you moderate. So better not punch too much above your weight class. For example if you mod a 10K sub then request subs 50K and under. I wouldn't waste the effort on the huge subs IMHO.

Yes, sure this will work for those smaller subreddits. But I don't believe reddit will hand the massive subs that are in the protest this way.
 
It sounds good in theory but if you think your ass is just going to be a mod of Reddit's main subs and make big bank then you are wasting your fucking time dude. You need to go back to the drawing board because the subscribers of those subreddits are going to snuff you out immediately and report you to the admins. I am speaking from experience.

Don't get me wrong now. Reddit is still a gold mine but there is a right way to promote on Reddit and there is a wrong way. This is the wrong way for sure.
 
Subs going private doesn't mean people aren't using them. You only need a single mod active ANYWHERE on the site anyways to keep your sub.

This. Reddit admins will never allow bhw types of guys as mods for big subs. Your accounts will get banned before you have the chance to put your smartlink or affiliate link.

How would they know that mods are from bhw.
 
Those are mostly giant subs. The smaller ones need the traffic, so they aren't going dark. You won't find many gems going dark for 30 days that you can actually request. Nobody's gonna gift you with a 1 million subscriber subreddit, unless you're some god of reddit, with a 2013 account, 322322424223223 karma, and moderator in another 30 big subs. I get what you're saying, and in theory it is true, but it's just not relevant for 99.999999999% of people using Reddit.
