My website is on the second page for good keywords. I have been posting links on blogs for weeks. Can someone please tell me where on what kind of backlinks to get to move on to the first page?

High PR Backlinks and backlinks from the same niche if possible.

Dont forget to overlook other factors. Make sure you have unique content on your site, Meta Keywords, Meta description, Meta Title and Keyword in your url.

The domain age of your site is another factor in your position.

Good advice. Also remember that page 2 is good, and page one is better but its no guarantee of better traffic. Perhaps you could write a better title or description that will make your page placement MORE valuable, even though its the same slot.

Offpage optimization, you will be going fine. What about Onpage optimization, are you doing and updating that??

It is important to optimize your pages, change KW priorities from low competitive to highly competitive from time to time.... You might not be doing Onpage, I am sure your competitor does that also....
