@social_newbie you should code an auto responder and base it off ResponderKing... You could have a lot of the options it has. Could be another tool to have for clients wanting to use your software. IMAP will work with ResponderKing and Hotmail|Outlook but not for SMTP since Oath2 is in place. Someone could use Hotmail|Outlook with IMAP but they are screwed trying to use those accounts with SMTP they would have to use another SMTP account.
Reason IMAP will work is like this for example... You would buy accounts off of Lution and plug this in for an IMAP account:
Released IMAP server with PLAIN AUTH - imap.lution.ee:993
Now you can login into purchased emails with login and password
and here's Bee Mail:
Update your IMAP settings to:
IMAP Address: imap.zmailservice.com
Port: 993
Encryption: Enable SSL/TLS
