Interested to hear opinions from those who have experience with this.

Let's say you get a link from a good website. The site is syndicated into 5-10 different languages which changes the anchor text and the link remains the same. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Canonical's for these pages are self-referencing so they are all being treated as individual pages by Google. I have 1 link which is now showing up as 10 different links in AHREFS. It looks spammy when looking at the link profile, but is it damaging? This is what it looks like:

www.example/com/this-is-my-article/
www.example/com/jp/this-is-my-article/
www.example/com/nl/this-is-my-article/
www.example/com/ru/this-is-my-article/
www.example/com/de/this-is-my-article/

If you have experience with this, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I have but I use a plugin to show language via there IP.

I suspect you are indexing to each country?

I do what you do but I do it dynamically from a database but I use now wp plugins it easier

the problem with foreign country you need the domain of the country to get properly indexed.

.com usa .
.fr France
.co.uk uk

as you can see there many but only real way

the way most do with 1 domain a .com they just show the language to the user via a wp addon.

but the proper way is a domain in that country to be taken seriously.

and yes i do foreign websites a lot .

This is a link that I have received - I am not doing this for my own websites.

The question is this: "is receiving multiple links from an article that is syndicated to 10+ different languages where the anchor text is translated into foreign languages going to be damaging". My suspicion is that this will look very spammy.

if all articles are in the lanuage your links say they are , there no problam .

But there no benifits from just 1 link and a translation addon as your using 1 .com

hope you understand

If anyone else understands my question. Please feel free to chime in!
