Hey guys, I'm wondiering how difficult, or if it's even possible to tranfer a blog from the free hosted wordpress.com to the self hosted version, and not have to start all the SEO work again?

    B) Moving to a self hosting Wordpress.org blog from Wordpress.com

Just sign up for a new web hosting plan with a good web hosting company. For hosting a Wordpress blog you will need a MySQL database and PHP -

    Install Wordpress -

If you have more than a few posts on your Wordpress.com blog and don't want to just copy and paste them on your new self hosted WP blog, do the following:

In your wordpress.com blog admin panel go to Manage > Export and download the export file. Then in your wordpress.org admin panel click Manage > Import and upload the file.

Good luck with your newly hosted WP blog

I think you could do some sort of redirect, but mainly you want to seo the new site and begin again, but this time should be easier because you have a start. Not sure...
