Anyone noticing the "Pin It" buttons change to "Save"? It's a minor annoyance to botters, but why erode your identity. "Save" is such a generic term, where as "Pin It" is more akin to "Google it", a brand identity that's made it into everyday vocabulary.

I believe the change has to do with the overall change in pinterest. Pinning means original pins, saving means saving stuff some1 else previously pinned. Makes sense in fact ;-)

the result.. i am not sure if "repining" aka saving a lot of pins is a good strategy anymore. maybe creating tons of pins (aka pinning) from previously undiscovered sources will be the better way towards authority. but dunno - haven't had the time to test it yet.

What you say makes sense. But I just created new images on one of my sites. They all say "Save".

Worth a try. Just keep in mind that Smartfeed algo seems to favor old, popular pins and shows them over and over again, instead of new ones that, of course, do not have a history of engagements.

the "+" in the upper right corner still says pin. Once the pin got created it all says "save" now.

Yeah i know the algo seems to favor old popular pins. But that was not what I was trying to say. Previously pinning regularly resulted in many followers and high engagement. Pins were recorded individually for each and every account.
Accounts who curated entertaining content and got repinned a lot, got favored in search (account search) and follow suggestions.

Now i am not sure if this is still the case. But like I said, haven't tested it out. My organic still remains unchanged for the most part.
