switching from normal site to WP blog

i have a question, i have a BH page and i would like to switch to a wp blog from time to time due to the fact that WP is so easy to configure.

so if i were to do this, should i just back up everything up (without deleting mysql database for wp) and just re-upload it again once i remove my BP page?

Depends Paper-boy. I like wordpress for it's eas of use and most of my sites are on word-press. I only say go for a normal traditional site if you are trying to make an impression as a professional. For some reason google likes WP blogs. With all the SEO plug-in's even someone new can rank well in the serps for low end keywords.

So tell me what are your plans with this blog verses your site. WP is easy to update on the fly. No editing HTML. You can make a new post in an instant also a new page on the fly.

Standard page you have to go in and edit the source to change something you do not like :/ Personally I do not like doing that. These are my thoughts and opinions. Please do what you feel best.

my BH landing page is no where near a wp blog nor can it be one. it will just ruin my BH page if i made wp blog out of it.

that is why i want to know if it's safe to backup everything on my wp blog, delete it and upload it again if i were to put it back up.

Can you PM me the URL? You might be surprised. Though yes it is safe to backup your wp blog and then go back to your page if you would like.

As long as you keep back ups, you can alternate between the 2, just back up your first site create your wp blog, when you want to go back to original back up wp and reup the original and then same vice versa.

I hope you understand what I mean.
