Switch account or start over?

I created some content over the years and I intend to launch a creator IG account. My question is; should I use my own account? switch it to creator and start growing it with all my family and friends there? or will I be better off creating a brand new account? Please give me some answers, they don't have to be technical, but just what you think of the situation. I don't want to show my family/friends my creator side (idk why maybe I am just shy af).

if the followers on your current account wont interact with
your new content as there not your niche audience
then ide start fresh, different people might have a dif opinion

If your older personal Instagram account is filled with personal photos and content that may not be relevent to your new content, it will be better to create a new account dedicated to your professional content. It will also help you to take a new start and you will have personal things away from your professional content.

If you aren't showing your face in your content / videos etc', making a new account would be better.
If you do show your face, there's no reason to make a new one.

Friends and family are the ones that could help you succeed and give you a kickstart, you could make a new account and when you feel more comfortable, tell them about it.

If you are clear with the thought that you don't want show your creative side to your family and friends then, there shouldn't be any doubt in creating a new account.
