Suspicious with adsterra

I've been stupidly working with adsterra for some months now, and the experience has been a disaster. All their ad codes get flagged for viruses and phishing, my UX is a mess, and the issue I'll explain.

In january, I joined the network, because a support agent told me the paypal minimum withdrawal was going to be decreased in no time. I believed that and added my websites.

The thing is, it has been half a year that I'm constantly lied about it, and the minimum remains at 100 usd. I have no issue with that, but if I knew that it was going to remain that way, I wouldn't have sent them my traffic, that in other ad networks would've meant, being paid months ago. I can't withdraw because I don't have sites with that much traffic, so it's not easy for me to reach 100 usd quick. I'm stuck at 80 usd and if I don't keep sending traffic, I'll lose the 80 bucks, but at this pace I'll be able to withdraw in months. I have no way to win on this.

There's an adsterra account here @AdsterraNetwork that always interact with users (mostly lies), and through it they've said that the change to a lesser amount is coming. The thing is, a chat agent on adsterra (called Anton) denied that the account here is legit and we shouldn't trust anything said because it's not official (I thought it was, it even has jr vip status so I thought was part of the official marketing campaign).

I was told in january that the minimum was going to be decreased for paypal in a few weeks, thing that never happened. Then I was told by an agent, that the financial dept was implementing Hyperwallet for lower paypal withdrawals, which according to Anton, wasn't real. Then, I was told that new users already had paypal withdrawal minimum, at $5, but were working on it for older publishers, thing that apparently isn't true either.

This has been a sh!tshow, and I just wanna warn you guys about adsterra. Also, I'd have loved to add this in shitlist but adsterra wasn't born here. I'd love that the mods put an eye on this, and check @AdsterraNetwork account, to see if it's like Anton said, not trustworthy and it's just misleading users.

I'm attaching 2 screenshots of the conversation with Anton, where he says about it.

Hey there, leiff!

I believe that there has been some miscommunication on our part. Let’s try to untangle and shed some light on everything that’s happening:

  • The PayPal minimum is currently $100, that is correct. New payment provider integration is still in the works. In the testing phase, to be precise. @Orozuz is keeping an eye on it too :D
  • There is a difference in “official channels” and “marketing presence/accounts”. This account is legit and is as truthful as they come :) On the other hand, Anton only mentioned the official channels (our Social Media) that are also managed by me. I’ve talked to our Support department and Anton directly and brought them up to speed.
  • Our codes and domains are sometimes flagged as malicious because of our AntiAdBlock solution. There is no malware or anything like that in the ads themselves, that’s not how we roll.
  • As for the “sh!tshow”… Welp, I couldn’t agree more, but we are working on resolving it!
Meanwhile, we’ve transferred your account to our Senior Support manager, she’ll be happy to clear any of your current or following questions.

@AdsterraNetwork can you please move my account to a senior support manager too.

I'm getting ready to exploit Adsterra if my payment is not made on 19th of this month.

I have evidence which will cause them to suffer in a big way. The evidence is from years of working with them all screenshots etc saved to my hard drive. It's true Live chat are liars and retarded. The experienced reps you can only contact through ticket system but takes forever to reply.

Also yes they have a $80 cap so when you reach that amount they will severely shave your traffic so takes a long while to reach $100 then they will make it difficult as possible to cash out. Live support said I need to fill in Name and Full home address which clearly does not have the required word next to them. No other ad network I have worked with required this to be filled. All the required fields state so. Conveniently disabled my profile right away so I cannot change until pay period is over and have to wait for next pay period.

That's not how we do things!
We do need payment info for the most of our payment methods
And, yes, we do lock the payment info fields in people accounts, but that's being done only for correct invoice generation, there is nothing nefarious behind that :)

You can DM me your login and I'll see how I can help!

That is exactly how you do things (assuming the $80 cap) I am currently using my second account with adsterra. First account every time I reached $80 I would get less than $1 with more traffic while before $80 was earning over $1 then when your balance reaches $90 it becomes depressingly slow.

I will surely provide my login details if I'm not paid but since I removed adsterra adverts my traffic has grown massively right away, it was magnificent I couldn't believe it. All this time Adsterra has been keeping me down which is the complete opposite of what should happen. I don't get your business model surely you would work hard to improve your adverts. Adsterra is KNOWN for malicious advertising.

The latest review speaks volumes, exactly what I am experiencing https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/adsterra.com

The address issue is a farce, full home address and name for payment setting is not set as required and not required for payment processor either, I never had those fields filled in on first account and received payments. However they delayed my payment for NEXT date until I fill those in. I'm expecting them to say my traffic is not legit next, let's see I will update here what happens.

When I left previously I had 5 adsterra reps spamming me daily on skype to re-join adsterra I decided to do so in the end now when I needed help my account manager doesn't respond. It's been a number of days and nothing not even online. I believe they are fake accounts. I'm telling you if I'm not paid this money I will expose Adsterra like no ad network has ever been exposed before. I've got a massive reach for it.

That is a good case for improvement, we will consider making those fields "required", thank you :)

As for the last review there — the payment is set for the next period, so that publisher has nothing to worry about, he'll receive his money in a few days

I tried adsterra on my websites, after 5 minutes I removed their ads, pure spam, imposible user make anything on website with their ads, now i know because they say "we pay more than any other network"

I could not believe my traffic increase after removing adsterra adverts and support had the cheek to say I need more traffic to get weekly payments

@AdsterraNetwork I would like you to clarify one thing as I am interested in Adsterra if I am paid on 19th although I have been mucked about they have good rates however do wish they would do something serious about the malicious adverts.

I was earning practically nothing from VAST ad which was enabled on my video streaming / file hosting site thought it was a bit unusual as VAST ads are relatively big earners like popups if not more as they gain a nice amount of clicks (misclicking skip button etc)

Live support was adamant VAST ads do not and cannot count traffic from external embeds on a different site although the video player itself is linked to said filehost so technically there should be no issue and should most definitely count that traffic for example streamtape.com they earn and pay their affiliates using adverts inside video player embedded externally. I need more clarity on this

They said they only count visitors viewing the VAST ad directly on the filehost site
