Does anybody know about cctvs or surveillance cameras?

I need a setup for my house. I tried looking on google and asking around but really didnt get any good answers. I need a camera that I can put in my bedroom window and point down at my car.

    I Need the following:

Wireless Camera (Will be inside window):
    -Night Vision
    -Decent Picture

A way to record to a External Hard Drive (prefered), DVR, or my computer.
I only need to to be able to record 24 hours and then it can overwrite. Resolution doesnt need to be super great just decent enough to make out what's going on.

I know pretty much where to get the stuff just dont know exactly what I need or how big of a hard drive I need to record 24 hours at decent resolution (480P?). Anyway, I really appreciate any help.

While I don't play with security cams a lot, I do know that resolution will only tell you if its dark outside...
I would aim for something higher and check at what distance the lens can be set of the cam you buy. It matters.
What is the use of putting a cam on your car if it doesn't tell you who damaged it?

Also, would this link help you?

Hope this helps but please ignore as you see fit. :)

I would stay far away from buying anything from x10. You'd be better off w/ a barking voiceless dog.

Have wired and wireless. Wireless has more perks than the antiquated wired but not as tough... The wireless isn't the military night vision (green). It's labeled "low light" and I think brightens the image/video (similar to Photoshop).

Frys and Sams Warehouse caries some good ones if that is an option for you.

I know who lives around my apartments and what they look like. I have a feeling I know who is screwing with my car just need proof. Thank you.

I appreciate but I know what to get just dont know how to do what I wanna do.

Anyone know if its possible to record directly to an external hard drive. Or how much space I would need to record 24 hour at a standard bitrate and resolution?

    Read my link. ;)
Click a few links on it. You won't need the things you think you need.

All you actually need to know now is what cam to use. :)

    And you are welcome.

I actually put a CCTV system in my car with everything running at 12v with no 'hard' wiring. The whole set-up wasn't too expensive either with the data going onto a removable SD card. Got most of it from flee-bay (If you are intersted pm me and I will hunt down the links for ya)
