supplements dropship

Hey guys a friend of mine with a lot of contacts is looking to partner up me with me for a dropshipping sort of business. He has a contact in china which can provide numerous of supplements (i.e body enhancing supplements). He said he'd split the cost of the site with me and we'd go 50/50 on the profit(i do web design). My question is there any legal issues with this? Any problems I can run into? I'm doing research now but I figured I'd ask here because you guys have been so helpful in the past. It would probably be somewhat like kigtropin-hgh (google it I can't post links) . Only reason I'm hesitant is because these aren't just your regular vitamins here lol. Anyone have any thoughts on this.

Is the stuff legal? Does it need a prescription in the country you're selling to? If it's legal and no script required I can't see how you could get into trouble but I'm no expert.

I'd suggest not getting into the supplement business. It's way too competitive, and costs too much to advertise.

Also, try to find wholesalers/manufacturers in the US. Dealing with customer complaints and returns when the wholesaler is on the other side of the world and usually really shady, isn't something you want to do.

He's telling me he has everything taken care of we just need to get the site up and running. He's telling me there's this loophole in the system that works and his how the drop ship works. Just wanted to hear feedback if anyone had any.

keyword here is "loophole in the system" ... i would stay faaar away. importing shady supplements just by taken his words for it..get ready for jail time

If it requires a script in the states, it is illegal. End of story. You will more than likely face federal charges when you are caught.
