Super simple web design service selling

I want to sell web design services to very small businesses(1-2 employees) which don't have their own website yet.

My plan is to gather the email addresses from google maps for these businesses, ask them if they need a website
and then outsource the web design on something like Fiverr.
I would sell the website for 200$ cost should be 50$ max.

Does this make sense or am i wasting my time?

It makes sense but you will have a hard time to convert these people into customers.
To convert even one business into a customer you would probably have to send more than 100-200 emails.

If the business model interests you just give yourself a time-limit to try it out yourself and give it real go and make the money. It's only wasting your time if you don't learn anything.

you need to start with the website, and offer them other services initially or as time goes on. offer them to keep the site up for a monthly fee and you can tack on more fees, but i have no experience with this at the moment.
