purchased a VPS from there, 3 days and no reply or vps info =\

Has anyone heard anything from Volumedrive in the last few weeks

i have a vps with them but would like to upgrade to a dedicated but i can not seem to get in contact with them

i have tried there sales email
there support email
and even tried to email josh directly
the first email was sent over a week ago

and today i have tried 3 different phone numbers for them
a sales phone number from there old contact page this number just gets redirected to a cellphone and no answer and mailbox is full

also a support number from there old contact page and this number is no longer in service

and last is there phone number listed in there whois info and there was just no answer on this number

i have been using VD for the past months i am very happy so far

Planning to hire a couple of volume drive dedis. Is volumedrive ok with xrumer. Has Volume drive shut down people using xrumer?

Just as an update, know two guys who have/had several accounts with them, they were highly satisfied for the first couple of months, top notch service and great support, while the VPS nodes were quite obviously oversold, they were still fairly reliable, fast and overall very good indeed.

At some point however, VD started obviously having security issues, open ports in several of their accounts, accounts getting hacked, eventually inaccessible and possibly deleted - no responses from VD support for weeks, and even months now, and no refunds neither (not soo bad given the low costs obviously).

Security issues seem to be a recurring problem with them, you can get any number of accounts with them and you can check your VPS logs, all of them will quickly fill up with messages logging port scan and login attempts.

Their pricing model is obviously very competitive, but it seems too good to be true.

I would be very careful if you are looking for reliable hosting, don't use it for anything "serious" - it will obviously be good enough for many "single use" projects, but be careful if your intention is to use their accounts for important stuff. While BHW is apparently an exception, it is also much more "high profile" ... and BHW is probably also surely not on one of those cheap plans either!

I guess you get what you pay for.

I would however still recommend them and their low cost plans for projects where you intend to "recycle" the account anyhow.

How are these guys now? I need a CentOS 64-bit VPS and was going to grab one from these guys. How fast is their turnaround? I want to grab a VPS and configure it later tonight. Recommendations?
