Josh,

I have just sent one email with my doubts.

I think I will can work with you, without problems.

After read this post.. I do believe this will be possible.

I will take some time in VPS to learn more about how to configurate LINUX and etc. After some months, I will migrate to a dedicated server.

This configuration is better than from my old pc: Pentium III 850Mhz with 256Mb..kkkkk (Today I have a MacBook pro).

Let's wait.

:)

Hi Dragon,

I'm not the Josh from VolumeDrive! ;)

I paid on Sept. 9 (5 days ago). Received a receipt from Paypal, but nothing else. I've emailed twice. Nothing. The contact form on their website doesn't even work.

How can anyone do business like this?

Sorry for a noobish question but will 32 or 64 bit CentOS make any big difference in the ease of use or performance? Also, are they working well right now? I see BHW facing donwtime frequently these days.

64bit is better, plain and simple, better on caching files on disk as well as better with big number crunching (crypto etc)

no problems with the dc itself, its all related to massive floods of traffic that bhw tends to get which causing quite hefty load spikes with the beast that is known as vbulletin sigh

are they using windows OS with package 3??

and also

Did you actually get your order? after 5 days seems like unprofessional

damn really.. you still waiting after sending payment? No way would I use someone like that.. geez

something has to be wrong

hey, can I use them as VPS for hosting interspire and sending emails?
better than hosting on hostgator ?

Ok I am going to answer some questions about volumedrive because I do have a dedicated server with them and have for almost a year plus. Josh and his team are pretty awesome with support also considering what you pay for. You will probably not get a better price/performance ratio anywhere else.

Just email info at volumedrive dot com for info and sales at volumedrive dot com for sales. Email is about the only way to contact them. I emailed them a support question on a Sunday afternoon and had a reply within 20 min. As far as running websites no problems.

Uptime is pretty good too. You can request a 10MB port or 100MB port. The 10MB port is unmetered the 100MB port is metered. As far as running an email campaign make sure your lists are opt-in and compliant.

I had a customer run one on my server that was not compliant and I did get a notification to stop, I had the customer stop their campaign. I emailed volumedrive immediately as soon as I had contacted the customer and had them stop. All the while they did not shut down my server but they did want to know what was going on.

Any updates about the service or quality?
Im looking at pack 3, looks good with cpanel.

if i dont order any CP what is the "VEPORTAL MANAGEMENT INTERFACE" ?
Management interface, domains, and so on?

Or is it to power on/off your VM?

EDIT:
You could install your own "free" control panel also right?

I have a similar doubt. If I don't want to pay for CPANEL, what can we use like similar?

ultrabizweb you wrote about your experience.
Do you use Cpanel? If not, how do you do the work?
How did you configure it? How do you adjust DOMAINS inside the server?

What about LINUX O.S options. Is there any of the O.S better than other? I like Ubuntu.

Tks!

I'm not making a single thing from this post, there is no ref link here, nothing, these are just great prices on vps's that just appeared and i felt like sharing it with ya's

top vps with cpanel works out to 29/mo... pretty sexy deal imo... us based, bhw is hosted at vd, enjoy...

It appears that there are limits on the number of databases in their regular shared hosting plans. In the terms of service it says they will delete databases above and beyond those allowed by the plan. Are there any such limitations with these vps accounts with respect to number of domains or databases?

just let me get this straight.... i think i need to rest my eyes.... they are selling a vps for 5$??????

but in their homepage they say that vps start From $19.95/Month

how can so many people not have or be unhappy with their current host? I guess the cheap prices is intriguing to a lot

What do you think about make a TEST?

5$ is a good price for a VPS. Remember, it has not CPANEL, so you will need to have a good knowlegment in Linux and others things.

VPS you can do almost everything you want (sure they have rules). Usually is an amount of HARD DRIVE. :)

If you have specific doubts, you could send an email to Josh, in volumedrive.

I bought VPS package 2 from VD ut I'm having problem at config nameservers and resolver's IP. I contacted Josh before but it is hard to get in contact due to our time zone. Anyone can help me with this issue? Does VD has default nameservers so we can park domains without creating custom nameservers?
