Is anyone facing super long namecheap dns propagation? It's my first time on NC, i usually go with namesilo and their propagation is instant.

I haven't had to wait for 5 minutes, yet i've been trying to get namecheap domain for more than 10 minutes and it's still not available.

    Checked through whatsmydns

Maybe there is a problem. You should contact them directly on their live chat.

DNS propagation is not in registrar's hands but individual ISP's hands as they update their records regularly. That said, the another way is to use DNS management services (here is a list btw - pfind.com/dns-management) so when you change name servers, they're pretty much instant.

I am with Namecheap, they usually takes 24 hrs. If you want to make some changes, you can also update your PC's hostfile too.

Yes i am very impatient. I have more than 10 domains on namesilo and all of them propagated in less than 1 minute to major countries. I usually switch them to CF for even faster speed when i wanted to change the host because i don't trust dns provided by registrars.

For the record, i've waited 30 minutes and that was the longest wait ever. Not to mention their internal dashboard was so slow on the DNS part its as if they purposely didnt want you to change it.

If not because of 1$ domains i wouldn't even go near any other registrar other than NS.

Certain domains take a little longer to release.. Other than that it normally happens overnight.

I've had some take 2 hours while different ones took 4 days to release because of time zone differences.

Make sure you get it right the first time (DNS details) and then just wait.
